MANILA, Philippines ? An official of the Bureau of Internal Revenue who failed the government lifestyle check cannot travel after the Bureau of Immigration placed him on its hold departure list.

In a one-page order, Immigration Commissioner Marcelino Libanan issued a hold departure order against BIR Deputy Commissioner Danilo Duncano.

He issued the HDO upon the request of Sandiganbayan?s Second Division due to a pending graft case against him for allegedly falsifying his Statements of Assets and Liabilities from 2001 to 2002.

Duncano was dismissed from government service by the Office of the Ombudsman after he was found guilty of grave misconduct and dishonesty, and after he failed the government lifestyle check.
