MANILA, Philippines -- Petron Corp. will increase the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by P2 per kilogram effective midnight, Monday, an official said on Sunday.
Petron spokesperson Virgina Ruivivar also assured the public that there was enough supply of LPG and allayed fears of a shortage.
The increase, she said, was made to "reflect the increase in LPG contract prices for January."
The price adjustment, Petron's first for the year, followed similar increases by other LPG players last week, she said.
