MANILA, Philippines—A pizza parlor in Pasig City reportedly lost on Monday more than P500,000 and a service firearm from its safety vault.
Senior Police Officer 3 Roberto Garcia said they suspect an inside job as they found no evidence of forced entry at the Greenwich Pizza parlor.
There were also loose coins scattered near the rear service door for LPG tanks apparently to “mislead” investigators, he said.
Garcia said all the managers of the pizza parlor had keys to the premises and the number combination of the vault which contained P517,000 and a .38 cal. revolver.
The theft was reported to the Pasig police on Monday morning by the guard on duty and a service crew. The opening manager confirmed that the amount was the store’s cash sales from December 27 to January 3.
