MANILA, Philippines -- The Supreme Court has cited a newspaper publisher for indirect contempt stemming from a series of articles he wrote against a lady member of the high tribunal.
In its 49-page decision, the high court ordered Malaya?s Amado Jake Macasaet to pay a fine of P20,000 to the high tribunal.
Macasaet had written a series of articles about a lady Supreme Court justice who allegedly received a P10 million payoff.
