MANILA, Philippines--Outsourcing services firm TeleTech won this year?s ?BPO Company of the Year? in the concluded International ICT Awards-Philippines.

The awarda, organized by the Business Processing Outsourcing Association of the Philippines (BPAP) and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (CanCham), recognize the significant contributions of top outsourcing firms in the country.

It also aims to boost the Philippines? status as a preferred outsourcing destination, according to BPAP Chief Executive Officer Oscar Sañez.

?Highlighting the progress and achievements in this industry plays a big part in drawing global businesses to the country,? Sañez added.

Convergys Philippines also won the BPO Employer of the Year, while Headstrong Philippines took home the Best Mid-Sized BPO Company of the Year.

Other winners are SPi Technologies for Multi-Sourcing BPO; Wipro BPO Philippines for the Best New BPO Locator; Genpact Services LLC for Fastest Growing BPO Company; and Cutting Edge Productions, Inc. as Most Innovative BPO Company.

Board of Investments Executive Director Celeste Ilagan was also awarded the ICT Individual Contributor of the Year for her role in the BPO industry.
