/ 11:20 PM November 21, 2011

A 21-year-old dance instructor was found dead of a gunshot wound in the head at the terrace of his home in Pasay City before dawn Monday.

The apparent suicide Monday was allegedly triggered by a spat with a girlfriend.

Police said Peter Edward Relayosa, of Maligaya Street in Malibay district, died instantly after he put a 9mm-cal. pistol to his forehead and shot himself outside the terrace at the fourth floor of the apartment.

It was Relayosa’s second attempt at suicide when he tried to kill himself a year ago after breaking up with another girlfriend, said Inspector Joey Goforth, Pasay City police chief investigator.

Goforth said Relayosa’s body was found around 5 a.m. by his mother, Mercedes, who heard gunfire from the terrace.

She found her son on the floor, leaning against the wall with a fatal gunshot wound in the head.

Mercedes told police that her son was usually depressed whenever he had a girlfriend.

She claimed to have stopped Relayosa from killing himself last year after telling him that she could die ahead of him if he did so.
