Village councilor slain in Bulacan drug bust

CITY OF MALOLOS-A village councilor was killed by policemen during a Wednesday (Feb. 21) drug bust.

Councilman Henry Dinas of Barangay (village) Sto. Nino engaged the police in a 12:30 a.m. gunbattle at the Mabolo-Sto. Cristo Diversion Road, said Supt. Heryl Bruno, Malolos police chief.

Dinas fired the first shot when he realized he was dealing with undercover policemen, and was slain, but his accomplices managed to escape, Bruno said. Carmela Reyes-Estrope
