Asking the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) to change its chair is one of the possible options Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is eyeing to end the alleged “unfair and unjust” handling of his electoral protest against Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo.

“That’s one option. I don’t know if that’s what we would be doing. But we should definitely do something para maging pantay at matapos na ito (so it would be fair and to put finality into this),” Marcos said during the “Kapihan sa Manila Bay” forum on Wednesday.

The namesake of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr. also cited Supreme Court Associate Justice Benjamin Caguioa and the tribunal’s previous decisions as “unfair and unjust.”

“Mukhang ‘di na fair ang treatment sa akin sa PET (Looks like PET is no longer treating me fairly),” he said. “It is biased against me and biased for my opposition.”

Caguioa is just one of the members of the SC, sitting as the electoral tribunal.

Marcos had accused Robredo of cheating after lost by a narrow margin of over 230,000 votes, an allegation Robredo had repeatedly denied. /jpv
