Fisherman drowns, another missing as 2 boats capsize off Bohol

PANGLAO, Bohol — A fisherman drowned while another remained missing after their vessels capsized off Balicasag Island, Panglao town in Bohol on Tuesday night.

The body of Joseph Glen Arason was found by his nephew in the waters off Balicasag Island on Wednesday morning.

A rescue team from the Philippine Coast Guard was still searching for Jovane Bologa.

SN1 Ralph Barajan, deputy chief of the Philippine Coast Guard detachment on Panglao Island in Bohol, said Arason and Bologa went to the sea on board separate motor boats on Tuesday night when they encountered rough waters that caused their vessels to capsize.

Barajan said that after learning of the sea accident, his office formed a team to search for the two fishermen.

They also asked the fishermen in Panglao and other coastal communities to be on the lookout for Arason and Bologa, both residents of Dauis town.  SFM
