Tourism award entries sought
The Department of Tourism (DOT) is calling on the country’s tourism stakeholders to submit entries to the inaugural Asean Sustainable Tourism Awards (Asta), which seeks best practices in the tourism industry in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
In a statement, the DOT said the regional award aims to “raise awareness on sustainable tourism.”
The department said Asta also seeks the best sustainable rural or urban tourism products.
The theme of the first Asta is nature-based tourism. —Jerome Aning
