Sepulveda says he’s still Capitol spokesman

/ 08:42 AM November 06, 2011

He hasn’t been seen lately at the Capitol but it doesn’t mean he’s quit the job,  said Capitol consultant Rory Jon Sepulveda.

In a text message, Sepulveda denied insinuations that he resigned as spokesman and Capitol consultant on information and revenue generation.

“I have not resigned as a consultant, much more for the reasons he cited. Never have I done any work (as a Capitol consultant and as Gov. Gwen spokesman) against my values and principles,” Sepulveda said in a text message to Cebu Daily News.

In his Sun.Star Daily column and radio program, Bobby Nalzaro  mentioned that Sepulveda supposedly tendered his resignation last Oct. 31 and is reportedly with the Philippine Airlines.

“If this is true, there is only one reason why he quit from his Capitol post. He could no longer stomach the temper and management style of Gov. Gwen Garcia,” Nalzaro said in his Sun.Star Daily column.

Sepulveda denied the claim.

“Working for the governor is a privilege and honor on my part and I will continue to embrace it,” he said.

Sepulveda described the allegations as “showbiz gossip.”

“Lately, however, I am not visible in Capitol as I have some private matters to attend to and the good governor is aware of this. I will address all the other issues in the proper time,” the consultant said. Correspondent Carmel Loise Matus
