Coed peddling party drugs, buyer busted at BGC

A college student who allegedly peddled illegal drugs at upscale bars was arrested along with her latest customer in a buy-bust operation in Taguig late Thursday night.
Reyna Hayashi and Roy Miguel de Borja, both 20-year-old students, are facing charges for drug pushing and possession of illegal drugs in the city prosecutor’s office following the drug sting at Bonifacio Global City (BGC).
Hayashi, a student of De La Salle-College of St. Benilde, was just one of the suppliers of party drugs at upscale bars located in BGC, Timog Avenue in Quezon City and the Ortigas area in Pasig, according to Chief Insp. Jerry Amindalan, chief of the Taguig Police Station Anti-Illegal Drugs (SAID) unit.
Hayashi pointed to a friend as her source and claimed it was only her third time to sell ecstasy pills at BGC when she was arrested.
With PO3 Elric Valle acting as a poseur buyer and PO2 Dizon Tiña Jr. serving as the lookout, the SAID operation arranged for a transaction with Hayashi around 11 p.m. at the corner of Rizal Drive and 29th Street.

Valle met with Hayashi inside a car parked in front of a restaurant to buy 50 blue ecstasy (Blue LV) pills worth P47,500.
As the rest of the SAID team moved in when she produced the 50 pills, Hayashi panicked and shouted De Borja’s name. She then called him on the phone for help.
Coming from a nearby establishment, De Borja arrived and introduced himself to the police as Hayashi’s friend and batchmate from high school. He was found keeping four yellow ecstasy pills in his coin purse.
Amindalan said an exchange of text messages between Hayashi and De Borja revealed that the two had just finished a transaction.
Hayashi admitted that she sold ecstasy to De Borja for P6,000 a few minutes before the buy-bust operation, the official added.
The two students remained in detention at press time.
