Ronnie Dayan, the alleged bagman of Sen. Leila de Lima, on Thursday denied he had a sex video with the former justice secretary.

During his testimony at the House of Representatives justice committee hearing into the alleged drug trade at the New Bilibid Prison, Dayan was asked by Pangasinan Rep. Leopoldo Bataoil if Dayan and De Lima had a sex video.

De Lima’s former security aide Jonel Sanchez earlier testified before the House that he saw on Dayan’s cell phone the aide’s sex video with De Lima.

“Wala pong katotohanan ’yun. Kung mayroon man kumuha, hindi po galing sa cell phone ko,” Dayan said.

(There is no truth to that. If ever somebody did take a video, it did not come from my phone.)

Parañaque Rep. Gus Tambunting again asked the question, irking the visibly irritated Dayan, who again flatly denied having such a sex video.

“Wala akong natatandaan na vinideo ko kami habang nagse-sex. Kung mayroon man, hindi galing sa cell phone ko yun,” Dayan said.

(I don’t remember ever taking a video of us having sex. If there was one, it did not come from my phone.)

Asked if it was possible that probably someone else filmed them having sex, Dayan said: “Pwede po sir, malamang po. (Probably, that was it, sir.)

De Lima has also denied having a sex video with Dayan.

The House leadership earlier got flak for initially allowing the screening of the purported sex videos, only to take it back after women representatives and feminists denounced the move.

Dayan has admitted delivering money from Eastern Visayas drug lord Kerwin Espinosa to De Lima over the course of their romantic relationship.

He said he gave drug money from Espinosa to De Lima at least five times in 2014. Espinosa, however, said he gave De Lima at least P8 million in 2015 for the justice secretary’s senatorial campaign.

Dayan was arrested in La Union on Tuesday after he was cited in contempt for snubbing the House of Representatives inquiry in aid of legislation on the proliferation of drugs at the New Bilibid Prison.

During the turnover by the police to the House of Representatives on Tuesday night, Dayan admitted receiving drug kickbacks from Espinosa for De Lima, an allegation the senator said was a lie.

Bilibid inmates who testified in the House inquiry tagged Dayan as the one who allegedly collected millions of kickbacks for De Lima from the drug trade for her senatorial campaign.

De Lima has vehemently denied the allegation, pointing out that allies of President Rodrigo Duterte have an ax to grind against her since she has crossed swords with the President. De Lima as human rights chair investigated the alleged links of Duterte to the Davao Death Squad when the latter was mayor.

De Lima has also admitted having an affair with Dayan, but said both of them were separated from their spouses at the time, and expressed fear her former driver might be forced to testify against her./rga
