Top drug suspect in Gen. Trias slain
SAN PEDRO CITY–The most wanted illegal drug suspect in General Trias, Cavite was killed in a shootout Friday evening, the police said Saturday.
In a text mesaage, Cavite police director Sr. Supt. Eliseo Cruz said slain suspected drug pusher Ranilo Anunuevo was killed by police during a buy-bust operation around 9 p.m. in Barangay Biclatan. The suspect, he said, may have sensed that he was dealing with the police and drew his caliber .45 gun, aiming at the law enforcers.
Cruz said the police fired shots to “incapacitate” the suspect. They brought him to the General Trias Medical Center but Anunevo was died on the way there. CDG
