2 inmates killed in fights over basketball, drugs in Bilibid

In a span of three weeks, two inmates from the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) were killed.
A prison insider on Monday said the victim, a member of the Genuine Ilocano, was stabbed by a member of Sigue Sigue Sputnik Gang after a fight over a basketball game.
The source said the victim was taken at the prison hospital but died over the weekend.
Two weeks ago, an inmate from the Medium Security Compound of the NBP was killed supposedly in an argument on drugs. The victim was identified as a certain Mike Palamela.
Two separate incidents of gunfight and fistfight also occurred over the weekend, the source said.
