Pulse Asia VP survey: Pacers Marcos, Escudero locked in tie

Senators Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Francis “Chiz” Escudero shared the top spot in the latest Pulse Asia survey released on Friday.

The survey, which was conducted from March 15-20, showed that Marcos and Escudero were the top choice of 25 percent of the 4,000 respondents.

Camarines Sur representative Ma. Leonor “Leni” Robredo came in second with 21 percent, while Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano was in third place with 14 percent.

Sen. Gregorio Honasan II only got five percent, while Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV had four percent.

The ABS-CBN-commissioned survey showed that five percent of the respondents were not inclined to support any vice presidential candidate.

The survey had a margin of error of plus-or-minus 1.5 percentage points.

In terms of geographical areas, Marcos topped the survey in the National Capital Region (41 percent) and Balance Luzon (32 percent), Robredo lorded it over in Visayas (34 percent), and Cayetano led in Mindanao (28 percent.)

Marcos was also the top choice of those belonging to Classes ABC (35 percent) and D (27 percent), while Escudero was the first pick of those from Class E (25 percent). IDL
