CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija — Government troops killed a suspected rebel, and captured another following a Wednesday morning (March 30) firefight in Nueva Ecija’s Carranglan town.

Army soldiers battled an undetermined number of armed men at 5 a.m. in Sitio Kabisalan, Barangay (village) Digdig. The Army launched the operation after receiving intelligence reports about a New People’s Army presence there.
