Grace Poe: Hubby could become ‘most handsome’ First Gentleman

If elected president, Senator Grace Poe said in jest on Monday that her husband would probably become the most handsome First Gentleman (FG) in the country.
“Well, unang-una siguro pinakagwapong FG… syempre biased ako, asawa ko e,” Poe said when asked over dzBB what kind of FG her husband, Teodoro Misael “Niel” Llamanzares, would be if she becomes the next president.
“Pangalawa siguro isa, sa pinakamabait hindi lamang na FG kundi isang kabiyak sa gobyerno, Kabiyak, asawa,” she said.
She said her husband was “very low key” and did not interfere with her work.
In fact, Poe said, Llamanzares would rather stay at home even if she got elected president and had to move to Malacanang.
“Alam mo bang sinabi ng asawa ko na doon kami hindi medyo nagkasundo, sabi nya pwede bang manatili na lang ako dito sa bahay kung ikaw ay kelangang lumipat dun? Sabi ko hindi naman yata pwede yun,” she said.
Asked why her husband would not want to live in Malacanang, the senator said: “Kasi komportable na sya sa bahay at saka medyo alangan daw sya, syempre hindi naman nya alam yung lugar na yun. Sabi ko so pakakabitan ko ng CCTV dito sa bahay natin para alam ko kung anong ginagawa mo.”
Poe vouched for the integrity of her husband, saying he would not do anything to tarnish their names and their family.
“Si Niel kahit na may mga lumalapit sa kanya na siguro at kakausapin, sya naman ay isang matalinong tao na alam nya na itoy makakabuti o hindi sa bayan natin,” she said.
“At hindi ako nagda-dalawang isip tungkol aa kanyang mga decision, magda-25 taon na kaming kasal ngayong taon na ito. Sya ay matalik kong kaibigan…” the senator added.
