Tourist dies of apparent heart attack in Mt. Pulag trip

BAGUIO CITY– A tourist who trekked to Mount Pulag in Benguet died from an apparent heart attack on Saturday, police said.

Edna Ocampo Villanueva, a 51-year-old Quezon City resident, was rushed by Kabayan town police officers to a hospital in Bokod town after she was found unconscious in her tent at 10 p.m. Friday by her companion, Paul Alexis Bernardino.

Villanueva was declared dead on arrival at the Dennis Molintas Memorial Hospital at arounf 2:30 a.m. Saturday, said Supt. Cherry Fajardo, spokesperson of the Cordillera police office in Camp Dangwa at La Trinidad town. CDG
