Wife seeks to take over post of Guimaras congressman Nava
ILOILO CITY, Philippines — The wife of third-termer Guimaras Rep. Joaquin Carlos Rahman Nava is running for her husband’s post.
Dr. Ma. Lucille Nava filed her certificate of candidacy (CoC) before the Commission on Elections provincial office Thursdaymorning.
She is running under the ruling Liberal Party with re-electionist Gov. Samuel Gumarin and provincial board member John Edward Gando, who is running for vice governor.
Candidates of the United Nationalist Alliance are expected to file their CoCs on Friday.
Businessman Henry Babiera will be running for representative of the province’s lone congressional district while former governor Felipe Nava, younger brother of the congressman, will run for governor.
Provincial board member Wilme Denila will run for vice governor.
