Driver of wayward Valisno bus arrested

THE driver of the Valisno bus that killed four passengers was arrested on Wednesday afternoon, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said.

The QCPD District Traffic Enforcement Unit Sector 2 said the bus driver identified as George Pacis was arrested by police in Balagtas, Bulacan at around 4 p.m.

Pacis was the driver of the San Jose del Monte City-bound Valisno Express bus with license plate TXV 715 that rammed the arch marking the boundary of Quezon City and Caloocan City at 7:20 a.m. Wednesday.

The Land Transportation Franchising has ordered a preventive suspension of the 62 buses of Valisno following the accident.
