Did you know: Deogracias Rosario “Father of the Tagalog Short Story”

Today, Oct. 17, is the 120th birth anniversary of the “Father of the Tagalog Short Story,” Deogracias Rosario. Born in 1894 in Tondo, Manila, Rosario began his career as a writer at the age of 13 when he worked for Ang Mithi, one of the country’s pioneering publications. He died on Nov. 26, 1936.
