MANILA, Philippines–As the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) started the concrete reblocking and repair of Edsa yesterday, motorists were advised to avoid the busy thoroughfare altogether and take alternate routes.

Based on a traffic advisory issued by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), northbound motorists from Cubao, Quezon City, particularly passenger buses headed for the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx), may take New York Street, turn right on Harvard, left on Aurora Boulevard, right on 20th Avenue, left on Col. Bonny Serrano Avenue and then turn left on Katipunan Avenue.

They may also take E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue, turn right on G. Araneta Avenue and go straight to Sgt. Rivera Avenue, before turning right on A. Bonifacio Avenue toward their destination.
