MANILA, Philippines – Parts of Luzon will experience cloudy skies with light rains, the state weather bureau said on Monday.

“The regions of Cagayan and Bicol and the provinces of Quezon and Aurora will experience cloudy skies with light rains,” the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

This was because of the northeast monsoon that continued to affect Luzon and Visayas.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Visayas will also have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

Mindanao, meanwhile, will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers and a chance of thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over the entire archipelago and the coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Strong to gale force winds are expected to affect the eastern seaboard of the country. Fishing boats and other small seacraft were advised not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves.
