LRT to give out train tickets on V-day

MANILA, Philippines – Love along the rail tracks.
“Show romance” with your beloved at the train station on Valentine’s Day and you might win a pair of stored value tickets, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) said on Wednesday.
The LRTA announced over Twitter that it would give away free tickets to “romantic couples” spotted at the Light Rail Transit Line 1 and 2.
“Five romantic couples, three from Line 1 and two from Line 2 will be given free tickets (worth P100),” LRTA spokesperson Hernando Cabrera told INQUIRER.net.
He said the tickets are actually redeemable vouchers equivalent to P100 or seven rides.
The pair will be chosen from passengers at selected stations from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. on Feb. 14.
On Wednesday, the LRTA also teamed up with Inquirer Libre and gave out chocolates and flowers to passengers in a number of LRT stations.
