2 gunmen dead in police shootout in Laguna

MANILA, Philippines—Police gunned down two armed men who earlier killed a man in Laguna Friday afternoon, police said.
Initial information reaching Police Superintendent Simnar Gran, Biñan City police chief, said the incident happened in Barangay (village) Canlalay in Binan, Laguna around 1:20 p.m.
Policemen were on patrol at the area when they chanced upon the shooting incident allegedly perpetrated by the two gunmen, he said.
A firefight ensued between the armed men and police authorities, which resulted to the deaths of the two suspects.
