IBP-Gwapo advances to semis in Picpa hoop

IBP-Gwapo marched to the semifinal round after drubbing IBP-B, 82-68, Wednesday night at the close of the elimination round of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA)-2012 basketball tournament at the Capitol Parish gym.

IBP-Gwapo had a single-digit lead in the first three periods before pouring it all in the fourth canto for the 14-point victory and became the first team to make the semifinal round.

Skipper Bads Del Prado and Manny Baguio drilled 20 and 16 points, respectively to spearhead IBP-Gwapo, while Barry Busi and Tony Liston backed them up with a combined 23-point output.

Kirby Raboy paced IBP-B with a game-high 26 points while Jarred Cabilte and Benjo Macion added 11 points apiece.
