MANILA, Philippines—Several points along the stretch of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) were flooded Wednesday morning due to a sudden downpour brought about by Tropical Storm “Marce,” the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said.

In a Twitter advisory, MMDA said the southbound lanes of Taft Avenue; Zamora; Ortigas; Highway 54; P. Tuazon Tunnel; and the northbound lane of Megamall, have gutter deep floods.

As a result, MMDA Metrobase officer Emma Loristo said traffic was building up along the entire 23.8 kilometer stretch of the busy thoroughfare.
