OWWA to celebrate Migrant Workers Day
THE Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) will celebrate nationwide the “Migrant Workers Day 2012” on June 7 in recognition of the valuable contributions of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) to the country.
In Region 7, activities will be held at SM City Cebu.
A special pre-departure orientation seminar for OFWs and their dependents will be the first activity at SM Conference Center Hall A and B from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., followed by a free film showing on “A Mother Story” by Star Cinema at SM Cinema 7 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
In cooperation with SM City, Cebu, Globe and BDO, the event is open to all active member OFWs and their families.
