Beautician accused of molesting 9-year-old boy arrested

MANILA, Philippines — A salon stylist was nabbed over the weekend at his home in Quezon City after he was allegedly caught molesting a nine-year-old boy by the victim’s mother.

In a report, case investigator Senior Police Officer 3 Helen Panguel identified the suspect as Christopher Santiago, 26.

The mother told police that she caught Santiago allegedly engaged in a sexual act late night on Friday inside the stylist’s home in Culiat in Tandang Sora.

At that time, the mother said her son went to the suspect’s home to watch television.

But when she decided to fetch her son at 11 p.m., the mother saw her son allegedly being molested by Santiago.

This prompted the victim’s mother to quickly report the molestation to barangay (village) watchmen, resulting in the male beautician’s arrest that night.

The suspect was turned over to the Talipapa police station Sunday night.
