1,000 racers to vie in Unity Run today

AROUND a thousand runners will answer the starting gun today in the Cebu edition of the nationwide running event dubbed “Kahit Isang Araw Lang: Unity Run” at the Cebu Business Park.

The run aims to continue last year’s successful inaugural race entitled “Takbo Para sa Libreng Kolehiyo” which drew 50,000 runners nationwide.

The race will feature 3-kilometer, 5k and 10k categories to be held in key cities namely Tacloban City, Bacolod, Puerto Princesa, Butuan, Davao and Manila.

Over a hundred thousand pesos worth of cash prizes will be given away to the Cebu leg winners.

In Metro Manila, the fun run will be held at SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City.  /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
