Heavy rainfall to continue over Metro Manila, nearby areas — Pagasa

Heavy rainfall will continue to hit Metro Manila and nearby provinces on Saturday evening, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa)

At 9 p.m. on Saturday, Pagasa also predicted rainfall in the next three hours in the Zambales, Bataan, Bulacan, Pampanga, Cavite and Rizal.

At 10 p.m., Pagasa predicted moderate rainfall within three hours over Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate including Ticao and Burias Island, Romblon Group of Islands, Oriental Mindoro and Camarines Sur, Pagasa.

Pagasa said the Typhoon “Ompong” (internationally known as “Mangkhut”) was moving 25 kph northwest of Laoag City with maximum sustained winds of 160 kph with a gustiness reaching up to 195 kph. /atm
