From Sara Duterte, a denial of backing Jay Sonza.

DAVAO CITY — Mayor Sara Duterte denied backing broadcaster Jay Sonza, whose name has been floated among those being considered to head the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO), following reports that current PCOO head Martin Andanar was on the way out.

“I am not aware that Mr. Sonza is seeking a PCOO post,” the mayor said in a text message sent by the City Information Office here. “I’m not sure if I ever met him, I cannot remember any meeting, whether casual or official. But I know he is close to PRD,” she said, referring to President Rodrigo Duterte.
