SC suspends work in NCR courts
The Supreme Court (SC) has suspended work for all courts in the National Capital Region (NCR) on Wednesday.
In an advisory posted on Twitter, Acting Chief Justice Senior Associate Justice Antonio Carpio ordered the work suspension “in view of the continuos rain and persistent threats of flooding”, citing the state weather agency’s rainfall alerts.

Caprio’s work suspension order also covered the SC, Court of Appeals, Sandiganbayan, and Court of Tax Appeals.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said monsoon rain will persist in Metro Manila and most parts of Luzon on Wednesday.

It also said the low pressure area 540 kilometers east of Aparri, Cagayan may intensify into a tropical depression in the next 24 hours. /kga
