9 suspected drug pushers nabbed in Lucena

LUCENA CITY – Nine alleged drug pushers were nabbed in twin buy bust operation in this city on Saturday, police said.
Supt. Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, said the local drug enforcement unit collared Julius Avila, Julie Ann Cruz, Adrian Suarez, Jerome Planas, Rodel Navarro and Jegs Baliber in Barangay (village) 8 at about 5 p.m.
Report said Avila and Cruz were the first to fall after they sold a plastic sachet of shabu worth P500 to an undercover policeman.
The rest of the suspects were caught in a pot session. They yielded five plastic sachets containing shabu worth P4,500 in the street market.
Police also nabbed Marites San Jose, Leonora Llera and Leo Nuera in another buy bust operation in Barangay Ibabang Iyam around 3:15 p.m.
Authorities seized seven plastic sachets of shabu weighing a total of less than one gram. /cbb
