Xiamen Air flight to Davao to be delayed due to Typhoon Megi

DAVAO CITY – The maiden flight of Xiamen Air from Xiamen to this city on Wednesday was expected to be delayed by at least six hours as Typhoon Megi closes in on Taiwan, the Department of Tourism in Southern Mindanao, said Tuesday.

“This might still be changed given the uncertainty of weather since it is a typhoon,” DOT 11 said.

Xiamen Air was earlier scheduled to land at the Davao International Airport from the port city of Xiamen on mainland China, which is across the Taiwan Strait, at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. CDG
