Some opposition lawmakers release copies of their SALNs

Some opposition lawmakers have individually released their respective 2017 Statements of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALNs) ahead of the House plenary’s approval of its rules on the release of these public documents.

Bayan Muna Rep. Carlos Zarate and Magdalo Rep. Gary Alejano were the firsts to bare their SALNs on Tuesday. ACT-Teachers Reps. Antonio Tinio and France Castro followed suit on Wednesday.

Zarate’s 2017 net worth was P1.647-million, a 21.9 percent increase from his P1.351 million in 2016.

Alejano registered a 13.6 percent increase in his 2017 SALN, with a net worth of P16.246 million, compared to 2016’s P14.307 million.

Meanwhile, Tinio’s 2017 net worth was at P4.206 million, a 1.7 percent increase from his P4.135 million last year.

Castro had a 53.6 percent increase in her 2017 net worth after she had P1.388 million in 2017 and P904 thousand in 2016.

The other lawmakers who also released their SALNs were:

Ifugao Rep. Teodoro Baguilat: P6.554 million (2017), 34.6 percent increase from P4.869 million in 2016;
Anakpawis Rep. Ariel Casilao: P1.095 million (2017), 79.7 percent decrease from P5.046 million in 2016;
Gabriela Rep. Emmi de Jesus: P1.302 million (2017), 4.6 percent increase from P1.245 million in 2016
