Mandaluyong police catch 2 robbery suspects
Two robbery suspects preying mostly on students in Mandaluyong City have been arrested by the police.
Supt. Moises Villaceran Jr., Mandaluyong City police chief, said the suspects identified as Rodel Dalisay, 28, and John Leo Narag, 29, were arrested outside their houses at Barangays Hulo and Addition Hills, respectively.
Both previously served time for robbery. The police said Dalisay was arrested around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday on Gonzales Street in a follow-up operation.
Villaceran said the suspect first struck on May 18 and took his victim’s watch and cell phone at knife-point.
On May 25, he robbed a student of P800. Dalisay, however, was caught after his sister told the police about his illegal activities.
On Tuesday, Narag, allegedly one of Dalisay’s accomplices, was also arrested. —Jhesset O. Enano
