Man gunned down in Masbate

DIMASALANG, Masbate — A man was shot and killed in Dimasalang town in Masbate province Friday night, a police report said.

The police said the victim, identified as Lino Anave Jr., 25, died from a bullet wound after an unidentified gunman shot at him at around 6:50 p.m. in Barangay (village) Canomay.

The police recovered three empty shells and one fired bullet from a .45-caliber gun and the cellular phone of the victim in the crime scene.

The motive behind the crime is yet to be determined as investigations is ongoing. /jpv
