City Hall closes Jaguar KTV

City Hall closed Jaguar KTV that was raided last month for holding minors for prostitution.

Mayor Michael Rama signed the closure order last Tuesday.

“The business permit of your establishment is hereby revoked and you are ordered to close the operation of your business immediately,” Rama’s letter addressed to the owner of the establishment read.

Rama told reporters the closure was based on City Ordinance No. 2163, which states that establishments engaged in trafficking should be promptly closed.

Last April 11, the Regional Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force of the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas in coordination with the Department of Justice, raided Jaguar KTV and rescued 147 women including 30 dancers who were minors.
