Pangasinan land beneficiaries receive ‘Bong Go’ T-shirts

SANTA BARBARA, PANGASINAN — T-shirts printed with the phrase “Ready Set Bong Go” were distributed to Pangasinan farmers who received certificates of land reform ownership award here on Thursday.

But Agrarian Reform Undersecretary Karlo Bello said the T-shirts were not meant to endorse the senatorial bid of Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, who was named by Senate President Aquilino Pimentel III as one of 20 people being considered by his party, Partido Demokratikong Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan, for the 2019 senatorial race.

Go helped facilitate the release of 196 hectares of farmland to 155 farmers here, Bello said.  — GABRIEL CARDINOZA
