DID YOU KNOW: 871 new HIV cases recorded in February 2018

In February 2018, there were 871 new human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) cases recorded nationwide, according to the Department of Health.

The figure was slightly higher compared to the 848 cases recorded during the same period last year.

Of the 871 new cases, 22 deaths were reported. —Marielle Medina
