Jeepney falls into Antipolo ravine, 2 hurt

A public utility jeep (PUJ) plunges into a 20-foot ravine in Antipolo City, Rizal on Tuesday morning, leaving two persons injured.

The Antipolo Radio Communications Office said the injured victims – Edwin Capueno, 48, driver; and Emerita Gobio, 38, passenger – were rushed to Rizal Provincial Hospital for treatment.

Officials said the accident occurred around 6:20 a.m. along the zigzag road in Barangay Dalig. The PUJ only had Capueno and Gobio aboard, they also said.

Authorities said investigation is underway to find out the cause of the mishap.  /kga
