/ 02:59 PM April 23, 2018

The Philippine Air Force is looking for potential bidders for their acquisition of spare parts and components for the maintenance of its first FA-50 lead-in fighter trainers, as part of its responsibility to keep the airworthiness and safety of its air assets.

A bid bulletin posted at the Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System (PhilGeps) website said the Air Force is allocating P144.6 million for the spare parts of the light fighter with tail number 001.

The pre-bid conference is set on April 26, 1 p.m. at the PAF Procurement Center Conference Room at Villamor Air Base in Pasay City.

The submission and the opening of bids is set on May 8, 9 a.m., also at the same venue.

The first two of the 12 fighter jets that the previous administration bought from South Korea for P18.9 billion arrived in 2015. The rest were delivered in batches. /je
