DID YOU KNOW: 283 leptospirosis cases reported from Jan.1-Feb.3

A total of 283 leptospirosis cases were reported nationwide from Jan. 1 to Feb. 3 this year, according to latest data from the Department of Health.

This figure was 9.7 percent higher than the 258 cases recorded during the same period in 2017.

A total of 21 deaths due to leptospirosis were reported nationwide from January to February this year. —Marielle Medina
