Dela Rosa makes farewell visit to 3 police units hours before retirement
Just hours before ending his three-decade service in government, Dir. Gen. Ronald dela Rosa, chief of the Philippine National Police said goodbye on Wednesday to three police units that marked the highest and lowest points of his career as the country’s top cop.
Dela Rosa visited members of the Counter-Intelligence Task Force (CITF), a unit which he described gave him many high points in the past 21 months because of its crucial role in the internal cleansing efforts of the PNP.
“Kayo yung bumangon sa ating nalulugmok na organisasyon dahil sa ginagawa ninyo hindi ninyo inaalintana yung galit at pagkakamuhi ng ating kapwa pulis,” he said in his speech at the CITF office in Camp Crame in Quezon City.
[You brought back the name of our organization because of your efforts without thinking of the anger and hate of out our fellow policemen.]
Dela Rosa was also scheduled to visit members of the Drug Enforcement Group and the Caloocan City Police Office, which was embroiled in various controversies including the deaths of three teenagers – Kian Loyd Delos Santos, Carl Angelo Arnaiz, and Reynaldo De Guzman. /atm
