DIGOS CITY – Two alleged New People’s Army (NPA) rebels were killed in a clash with soldiers in Barangay Upper Bala in Magsaysay, Davao del Sur on Wednesday.

Lieutenant Colonel Rhojun Rosales, commander of the Army’s 39th Infantry Battalion, said his men were conducting operation when they clashed with NPA rebels around 11:45 a.m.

The bodies of the two slain rebels, who remained unidentified, had been retrieved, along with two M16 rifles, according to Rosales.
