DOH expands antirabies vaccine program

The Department of Health (DOH) would expand its antirabies vaccine program to cover more dogs because of the global shortage of antirabies vaccines for humans.

DOH data showed at least 1.3 million cases of animal bites in 2016, leading to 209 deaths caused by rabies. —Julie M. Aurelio
