3 hurt in 3-car smashup in Isabela

NAGUILIAN, ISABELA-A government service bus, a closed van and a sports utility vehicle figured in a three-car smashup at 4:35 a.m. on Saturday (Mar. 24) along the national highway at Barangay Magsaysay, injuring their respective drivers.

The south-bound van driven by Jessie Boy Devera, 27, crashed into the Cauayan City government bus driven by Allan Parica, 37, and then slammed the oncoming red SUV driven by restaurant owner May Adduru of Ilagan City.

Devera suffered the most injuries among the drivers after he was pinned inside his van. He is in critical condition at the Isabela United Doctors Medical Center in Cauayan City.

The passengers of the bus and van were unscathed.

Police have yet to identify which of the drivers to charge for reckless imprudence resulting to multiple physical injuries and damage to property. VILLAMOR VISAYA JR.
