Official of Pasig homeowners group shot dead

An official of a homeowners group in Pasig City was shot dead by a still unidentified man at Barangay Pinagbuhatan on Sunday.

Senior Supt. Orlando Yebra Jr., city police chief, said Rogelio Balaan, 44, vice president of Brighter Hope Homeowners Association, was killed as he was walking on M. Eusebio Avenue around 7:20 a.m.

Investigator PO3 Eric Goboy said the gunman was in a white Suzuki sedan with plate number PZI 823.

Three bullets were fired but only one was fatal, he added.
